Baby Cylus June 6, 2012
I had the opportunity to photograph an adorable baby boy yesterday – a long awaited shoot since I did mom’s maternity photos MONTHS ago it feels like…he was definitely not in the mood to be photographed but after a few shots, a feeding, a cuddle session with mama and finally a nap, we got some adorable images of Cylus.
Now that summer is here, I am in total photo mode, and my schedule is filling up, so if you want to capture timeless, irreplaceable images of your children being children, give me a call and we’ll set up a session!
why I do what I do… May 21, 2012
I feel like I should share with you all why I do what I do…its not for the money, its not for the fame…its for the simple joy I get from getting your family together – hearing the laughter and seeing the family dynamics…the fun of seeing your seniors – not quite grow up, but almost, trying to find themselves…the joy of capturing those precious moments when you’re children are babies, and shooting again and again, documenting their lives as they grow up…the pleasure I get watching you look at your photo albums, or your prints for the first time, listening to every “ooh” and “ah”…and knowing that I have helped you preserve a part of your family history that no one can take away.
I love photography. Simple as that. And I hope you get that vibe from me every time I shoot.
Mother’s Day May 15, 2012
Well, I had a super Mother’s Day – my daughter gave me the iPod Touch that I’ve been asking for, and I got to spend the day with my two brothers and my sister and their families – including the two babies, one of which is only three weeks old!!!
Of course being the photog of the family I HAD to take as many photos as possible, and we had a mini session with baby Luke and baby Tripp. I cannot tell you how much I love shooting babies and toddlers and little kids…I am pretty sure its one of my most favorite things to do in the whole world!!!
Anyway, now that Mother’s Day is over its time to get back to work – I’ve got lots of stuff planned for this summer, so I’m really hoping the weather cooperates!!!
Congratulations Deanna!!! May 7, 2012
I just wanted to say congrats again to Deanna Wakinnen for winning the family photo session! I cannot wait to shoot your beautiful family this summer!
For those of you that didn’t win, don’t forget to take advantage of the consolation prize – which I posted in the contest blog!
Its going to be a beautiful week and I hope I can get out there and do some shooting!!!
happy monday! April 30, 2012
Good morning all! I am getting ready for another whirlwind week here on the ranch – hoping to find time for some photography, but right now our focus is cows and cows! Now that spring has arrived, I am looking forward to my busy summer shooting seniors and families, and of course the wedding I have booked in July!
I think maybe I should have a contest to see who follows my blog…how about this: a FREE family photo session?!?!?
Here’s the rules:
1. Post a comment on your facebook page about your ideal family photo, linking my Dragonfly Photography facebook fan page.
2. Subscribe to my blog, then share a link to my blog telling your friends to subscribe.
3. Come back to my blog and comment telling me you completed all the steps!
I will choose a random winner from everyone that completed the three steps and you will receive a FREE family photo session!!! The deadline to enter is Friday, May 4 at 4 p.m. so don’t delay!
High School Rodeo April 23, 2012
I attended my first local high school rodeo yesterday to take pictures for the local papers, and of course capture some images of the three boys that we follow! Other than the 80 degree weather in April and the sunburn, I came away from the rodeo pretty happy…You can check out all my images on my facebook page!
PHEW! What a week! I just spent four days in Billings at the annual MPPA convention. All I can say is WOW. I was overwhelmed by all the amazing talent of all the members, as well as their friendliness and willingness to help out a new member! I had so much fun! I learned so much at all the workshops that I don’t know if I can store all that information in my brain!!!
I certainly cannot wait until the next workshop that the MPPA hosts, and the next convention is already penciled in on my calendar!!! If you are a Montana photographer and are NOT part of the association, I urge you to join TODAY. Just the benefit of meeting and getting to know the other photographers is totally worth it!
here we go… March 12, 2012
Just finished my first senior session of the year – it was AWESOME! You can check out her photos on FB or at http://www.bradleyphotography.smugmug.com. We had a great time, and now I have senior fever!!! I am hoping to book about 5 or 6 seniors this summer, so we’ll see how it goes. Right now I have a promo – 32 FREE wallets if you book your senior session by April 15.
I also have an Easter Mini Session coming up and I have a few spots left if anyone is interested – $30 for a 30 minute session with your kiddo. You can’t beat that!!!
I am totally excited for summer – I just hope it gets here soon!!!
New Year, New Ambitions January 15, 2012
Wow, time does fly…I can’t believe the last time I updated this blog was in October – just shows how busy I’ve been! I guess my New Year’s Resolution should be to blog a little more often…
I am really looking forward to 2012 – I have been building my client base all over the hi-line and Great Falls, and have already officially booked my first wedding of 2012! I am SO looking forward to spring and summer so I can put all my plans into action – I have dates with several teen models and have another pinup session in the works – which will be complete with another classic car as a prop!
I am also working on my marketing plan, and have been making a lot of contacts around the area and I am hoping to have an AWESOME year this year!
